The Sun Temple Gujarat, India
The Sun Temple of Gujarat which is located in the Modhera. It is akin to the Sun Temple at the Konark which is dedicated to the Sun God, the Lord Surya.
Which is Though the temple has lost its glory of the yore, it is still an architecture and art of the master piece. The temple of serves as the venue for the Dance Festival held in the January each year. Which is built in 1026 AD by the Solanki King Bhimdev I of Patan. The Solankis were Suryayanshis, the descendents of the Sun God and therefore they had built this temple in the honor of Lord Surya. However, the temple was plundered by the Mahmud Ghazni.
